Removing a factory flash hider from a SCAR rifle allows for the attachment of a suppressor or other muzzle device. The factory flash hider is pinned and welded to the barrel, so it must be removed before any other muzzle device can be installed.
There are a few different ways to remove a factory flash hider, but the most common method is to use a punch and hammer. First, remove the muzzle brake by unscrewing it from the barrel. Then, insert a punch into the hole in the side of the flash hider and tap it with a hammer until the flash hider loosens. Once the flash hider is loose, it can be removed by hand.
